Le Grand Chai
Saint Emilion Gran Cru 2010
The wine is a right bank Bordeaux. It is clear and filtered, the color is dark ruby, the core is not true to the rim , which shows some bottle aging (2010). The viscosity is medium high, with slow falling tears which implies medium high alcohol (14%) unusual for Bordeaux which also implies possibly a warm weather year. On thw nose dark berries aroma with subtle plum notes, some marked erthiness, with leather and tobacco notes from its aging in oak barrells. The palate confirms the nose with a full body, medium lenght and a firm ripe tannins. A great value right bank Botdeaux clearly based on Merlot.
