Tenuta San Francesco - 4 Spine 2015  - Tramonti Rosso

This is a wine from Tenuta as an Francesco in Tramonti. The wine is named after the 4 partners of Tenuta San Francesco. It’s a blend of Aglianico, Tintore (a local grape to Tramonti) and Piedirosso also called Pier e Palumm in Neapolitan dialect (it means pigeon feet). The color is a dark ruby with purple highlights. The viscosity is medium high (14.5% abv), it is clear and filtered. The nose has ripe black fruits aroma of cherry, blackberry and prunes. Some notes of oak in the overall bouquet. The nose is inviting. The palate confirms it with a full body , smooth tannins and a balanced acidity. It also shows a medium long persistence. The wine must be served at no lower than 18 degrees. In conclusion a good wine with a full body and  a good persistence. It can be paired with game dishes or red meat or italian pasta with a good gravy that will not be overwhelmed by it.
