13 Casali - Giuseppe Apicella

This is a blend of grapes grown on 13 Casali from Giuseppe Apicella in the sub zone Tramonti of the Amalfi Coast DOC. However the blend is a simple Campania IGP, the most generic appellation in the region. I visited Giuseppe Apicella while driving through Tramonti, he is one of the major producer in the area. The wine is a ruby in color with a medium viscosity 13% abv. The nose has surprisingly good aromas of red fruits like raspberry and ripe red cherries, very fruity. The palate confirms the nose with a medium body, fresh acidity and velvety tannins but with a forgettable finish. Conclusion: a truly good value wine for every day consumption, enjoyable on the nose and on the palate .. good choice for every day pasta in red choice and with simple dishes even with pizza. PM:86
