Could- Dutheil Chinon La Baronnie Madeleine 2014
This is a Cabernet Franc from the Chinon region of the Tourraine area in France in the Loire Valley. We visited this winery in June 2019. The wine is clear and filtered. The color is a dark ruby with a core not true to the rim. The viscosity is medium (13.5 % abv). The nose is very inviting with black berry and black currant aromas. Bell pepper is also evident and licorice as tertiary aroma. The palate confirms the nose with a very long persistence and medium acidity and a smooth velvety tannins. An excellent wine , really smooth and velvety with excellent aromas; a perfect pairing with meat and any game dishes. Also with hard aged cheeses. PM 93
