Chianti 2017. Castello Banfi.

This is a Chianti wine from Castello Banfi. We visited this winery in September 2019 and before in August 2015. The wine is light ruby, the core is not true to the rim showing some bottle aging. The viscosity is medium (13% abv). The nose is excellent with notes of strawberry, red cherry and secondary notes tobacco. The palate confirms the nose; a medium body ; it is harmonious with a perfectly balanced acidity, smooth tannins and a good persistence. A truly excellent wine and a perfect representation of Chinati with its traditional acidity and tobacco secondary notes. A perfect pairing with any soft cheese or white and red meat dishes. PM:89
