Marisa Cuomo 2016 - Costa di Amalfi

This is a rose wine from the iconic producer in the Amalfi Coast DOC Marisa Cuomo. We visited this producer in August 2018. The wine is made with the Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes. The color is a very brite light garnet the viscosity is medium high 13.5% abv. The nose is very intriguing and inviting with notes of strawberry and floreal notes of red roses. The palate is a very enjoyable full body wine with very smooth tannins hardly noticeable and lots of freshness and excitement. A long finish make this wine an excellent rose. The perfect match for any fish dish from the Amalfi Coast but also as aperitif with a salumi based appetizer. PM:90
