Rosso di Federica 2010

The wine is a Nero D’Avola from cantine Federica in Noto. We visited this winery in March 2018. The bottle is very particular. The wine is a dark ruby with the core not being true to the rim given the 10’years aging. The viscosity is medium (13.5% abv). The nose is captivating with black cherry and blackberry notes and hints of tobacco and black pepper spice as tertiary. The palate confirms the nose with a full body and very soft tannins and a long persistence. A perfect pairing with any meat dish, better if grilled or with any Salami and hard cheeses appetizer ( as we paired the night of tasting ). PM 90
