Società agricola Nativ 2014 Eremo San Quirico

This is a red wine from the producer Nativ that we visited multiple times. It’s made from 100% Aglianico grape

and it’s from a sub appellation of the Irpinia area of Campania. The wine is dark ruby and the rim isn’t true to the core showing the 9 years aging. The viscosity is medium high (14.5% abv). The nose is appealing with notes of dark fruits ( blackberry , plums ) and secondary notes of cedar. The palate confirms the nose with an harmonious wine where the usually young harsh tannins have morphed into a velvety cover and a perfectly balanced hardly perceivable acidity and a full body that make the wine almost chewable and its 14,5% alcohol is just unnoticeable. In summary a great wine that can be paired with heavy meat dishes ( game or a juice steak ) or with a crazy combination like pizzza with pancetta and potatoes ( as we did ). PM 94.
