VIGNA MADRE 2015 - Cantina la Sibilla

This is a 100% Piedirosso wine from La Sibilla winery. We visited it on May 1st 2019. The color is a dark garnet with the rim not true to its core given the age of the wine ( 5 years ) the viscosity is medium low (13%abv). The nose is inviting with red fruits galore , strawberries and cherries notes are fading as the wine has reached or passed its peak. The palate is a little disappointing with little persistence a medium low body and a medium high acidity. In summary a wine that is at its peak or passed it already .. its light and refreshing with a medium high acidity .. still a good pairing with with meat like chicken or pork dishes or light pasta in red sauce.
