Villa Marina - Conte Leopardi 2015

21/10/1019

This is a wine from Marche region in Italy. From the Conero region, it is made from

100% Montepulciano grape, which is typical of the area. we visited their winery in May 2019; check the blog dedicated to the region and the visit.

The wine is dark ruby with purple highlights. However the rim is not true to the core, showing some bottle aging. The viscosity is medium high (13.5% abv). The nose is soft and penetrating with notes of plums wild cherry and licorice. It’s very inviting. the palate confirms the nose with a medium High body , soft tannins and long persistence. In summary a very good wine and good representation of the area, to be paired with any pasta dishes with meat or red sauce or with Pizza and definitely with meat on the grill. PM: 90
