2017 Feudi di San Gregorio : Dal Re

This is a red wine made from the Aglianico grape from the Campania region. The producer is the largest one from the region ( Feudi di San Gregorio ). We visited this winery multiple times and the last one in February 2021. The wine is a dark ruby with purple highlights with medium viscosity (13.5% abv) . The nose is inviting with notes of black fruits ( blackberry, cherry) and notes of chocokate and tobacco. The palate doesn’t disappoint you with vey supple tannins and perfectly balanced acidity. The persistence is medium. A perfect pairing with any meat dish and also with pizza ( we paired with pizza Margherita). PM:89.
