2017 Pascal & Mireille Renaud : Pouilly Fuisse

This is a white wine made from Chardonnay, it’s from the Macon subregion in Burgundy. We visited this winery in the spring of 2019. The color is a deep yellow straw with golden highlights. I believe the intense color is the result of above average oxidation due to exposure to heat. Th viscosity was medium high. The nose showed notes of candied fruits, hazelnut. The palate confirmed the nose with a marked acidity and a long finish. In summary not the wine I was hoping to drink. This shows the fragility and the need to keep the wines in a proper place. I will have to give this wine another try.
