Merlot - Sicilia DOC

The wine is clear and filtered , its dark ruby color with purple highlights. The viscosity is medium ( 12.5% abv) which is unusual for this grape. The nose is persistent and strong with notes of black currant and dry prune. The secondary notes are tobacco and dark chocolate with hints of oak. The palate shows a medium body with smooth tannins a long persitence. Overall a good wine to be paired with cheeses and even pasta disches especially with meat sauce.
