ZerO5 - Falerno del Massico DOC 2015

Regina Viarum

This is a Primitivo based Falerno del Massico wine. The "disciplinary" of the Falerno del Massico wines allows either a Falerno based on Primitivo or Aglianico. All depends where the vines are geographically located.

The wines shows a deep ruby color. A medium high viscosity with a 14% abv. It is clear and filtered and it has a youthful development.

On the nose the aromas have a moderate intensity. With notes of black Cherry, black currant, dark chocolate and tobacco. It is clear the uses of some oak from the vanilla notes. On the palate, the wine is bone dry, with a medium full body a smooth acidity and a medium low tannins. On the aromas, the palate confirms the nose with a moderate flavors intensity. The finish is medium which implies a good quality wine. Overall it is a good wine, although I prefer the Primitivos from Apulia; this one is a great quality wine to enjoy with risotto with mushrooms or grilled meat. 90
