Brancato - Fiano di Avellino 2016 - Tenuta Cavalier Pepe.

The wine is a Fiano di Avellino DOCG from Tenuta Cavalier Pepe. I personally visited this “state of the art” winery in June 2018, a great producer of most of the DOCG of the Campania Region. Brancato is a perfect representation of the beautiful wines that Fiano can produce. It’s a deep yellow straw color with golden highlights with a medium viscosity (13% abv) , it’s clear and filtered . The nose presents very aromatic notes of white flowers , with pleasant addition of apricots ,stone fruits and some

vanilla and butterscotch due to the small barrel aging. The palate confirms the nose , a very dry wine with a perfect freshness and elegance , around a structure of medium high acidity. A very good wine , an enchanted representation of this typical white wine from the Campania region and its best appellation ( Irpinia). A wine to be enjoyed as aperitif or with fish dishes such as grilled swardfish or salmon where the toasted feeling  of the small oak barrel pairs perfectly. Pm 94
