2019 Masseria Ficarigna primitivo di Manduria

This is a red wine made from the primitivo grape. It is indie genius of Apulia region. The wine is a dark ruby with purple highlights, it shows it’s youth and it has a medium viscosity (14% abv). The nose is extremely intriguing with notes of blackberry, black cherry and tertiary notes of licorice and black pepper spice. The palate doesn’t disappoint with a warm and velvety full body wine with a medium persistence , smooth tannins and balanced acidity. In summary a good value wine from a large wine producer region. A perfect pairing with any meat dish and above all with pasta or pizza fiven the smoothness of its tannins. Pm 89
