La Raccolta 2017 - Cantine del Notaio

The wine is from Cantine Del Notaio in Basilicata near Venosa. I personally visited the winery in December 2018 ( check my visit notes). This wine is an interesting blend of Aglianico vinified as white, Malvasia, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The color is deep yellow with golden highlights which is surprising for a young wine. It has a medium viscosity (13.5% abv). It’s clear and filtered. The nose is very inviting with a kaleidoscope of notes of white plums and pears aromas with Floral aromas of acacia and orange blossom, kiwi, citrus, apple and pineapple. The palate is savory with strong minerality and medium body, refreshing acidity and perfect acidity balance. In summery a good suprising blend at a very affordable price of $18-20. An enjoyable wine as aperitif or with any pasta with shellfish sauce or any simple grilled fish. PM:89.
