Rossooutsider 2011- Arnaldo Caprai

This is an Umbria IGT wine. The wine is from one the well known Arnoldo Caprai winery. It is made from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. The goal of Animdo Caprai is to prove that on the Umbria Montefalco terroir even international varietals could strive. It definitely reaches his goal with this estraordinary bottle of wine. The color is dark ruby with a high viscosity (15% abv), clear and filtered. The nose has black fruits aromas of blackberry, prune and black currant. Secondary aromas of tobacco, pencil shaving and cedar. The palate confirms the nose with inviting full body, smooth tannins and well balanced acidity with a long persistence. In conclusion a very good wine to enjoy with friends and with meat dishes and cheeses, also to be annoyed on front of a fireplace. PM:94.
