2020 Alamos : Torrontes

This is a white wine from Argentina made with the torrontes grape. I have been always fascinated by the wines made from this South American grapes. There is a large resemblance with Sauvignon BLANC. The wine is light yellow straw with greenish highlights. The viscosity is medium. The nose is intriguing, with notes of tropical fruits and intense citrus notes. The palate is refreshing with a strong acidity. In summary a good summer wine although with tested on Christmas Eve with fried calamari and it paired nicely. PM :88
