lCantina Li Seddi
Vermentino di Gallura Superiore DOCG “Li Pastini” 2023
Appearance
Bright straw yellow with luminous golden reflections. The wine shows excellent clarity and moderate viscosity, consistent with its elevated alcohol level.
Nose
The bouquet is intense and distinctly Mediterranean. Aromas of white flowers and orange blossom intertwine with citrus zest, yellow peach, and hints of tropical fruit. Subtle layers of Mediterranean scrub, juniper, and aromatic herbs emerge, accompanied by a characteristic saline and iodine nuance that reflects the maritime influence of the Gallura coastline.
Palate
Full-bodied and enveloping, with a generous yet well-balanced structure. The palate opens with ripe stone fruit and citrus, supported by vibrant freshness and a marked sapid mineral backbone derived from the sandy and granitic soils typical of the area. The texture is round and harmonious, while the saline component adds precision and energy.
Finish
Long and persistent, with lingering notes of citrus peel, Mediterranean herbs, and marine salinity, ending with the classic slightly bitter almond nuance typical of Vermentino.
Terroir and Vinification
Produced from 100% Vermentino grapes grown near the sea in Badesi, often from ungrafted vines planted in sandy soils. The wine is vinified in stainless steel at controlled temperature, preserving the aromatic purity and freshness of the variety.
Food Pairing
Ideal with raw seafood, grilled fish, shellfish, Mediterranean vegetable dishes, and delicate white meats. Excellent also with Sardinian specialties such as bottarga, fregola with clams, or grilled mullet.
Serving Temperature
8–10 °C.
Overall Impression
A characterful expression of coastal Gallura Vermentino, combining aromatic richness, mineral salinity, and a distinctly Mediterranean identity. di Gallura Superiore DOCG “Li Pastini” 2023
