Producer: Fattoria Pagano
Denomination: Falerno del Massico Bianco DOP
Grape Variety: 100% Falanghina
Region: Campania, Italy
Vintage: 2024
Appearance:
Brilliant straw-yellow hue with luminous clarity and a subtle greenish shimmer, indicative of freshness and youthful vibrancy.
Nose:
The bouquet opens with delicate floral aromatics—wildflowers and citrus blossom—followed by bright notes of citrus (lemon zest, grapefruit) and white orchard fruit (pear, white peach). There are nuanced hints of herbal complexity and light mineral suggestion, reflecting the volcanic terroir of the Roccamonfina slopes.
Palate:
On the palate the wine is fresh, well-balanced and medium-bodied, with a crisp backbone of acidity that lifts the fruit profile. Flavors of citrus zest, green apple and stone fruit merge seamlessly with a velvety texture. The mineral thread—saline and stony—adds precision and depth. The finish is clean, elegant and persistent, leaving lingering citrus and floral notes that invite another sip.
Structure:
A wine of harmonious balance: acidity, fruit intensity and texture are integrated with moderate alcohol and a refined, persistent finish.
Food Pairing:
Ideal with seafood and shellfish, such as grilled shrimp, scallops or mixed fritti di mare. Also excellent with light pasta dishes, fresh salads, grilled white fish and mild cheeses, where its freshness and minerality enhance rather than overwhelm.
Service Temperature: Serve chilled at 10–12 °C. PM 87
