Appearance
Bright straw yellow with pale green reflections. Crystal clear, with good brilliance and medium viscosity, reflecting its youthful freshness and maritime character.
Nose
The bouquet opens with elegant aromas of white peach, green apple, pear and citrus zest, followed by delicate white flowers such as hawthorn and acacia. As the wine develops in the glass, notes of Mediterranean herbs—wild thyme, rosemary and sage—emerge alongside a distinct saline minerality reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast’s sea breeze and rocky cliffs.
Palate
Dry, medium-bodied and beautifully balanced. The vibrant acidity gives the wine remarkable freshness while supporting ripe orchard fruit flavours of apple, pear and citrus. The volcanic soils and dramatic seaside terraces contribute a pronounced mineral backbone and an unmistakable saline character that carries through to a long, clean finish. The wine is precise, energetic and highly drinkable, with excellent tension between fruit concentration and acidity.
Finish
Persistent, crisp and mineral-driven, leaving lingering notes of citrus peel, Mediterranean herbs and sea salt.
Overall Assessment
Furore Bianco 2024 is a superb expression of heroic viticulture on the Amalfi Coast. The combination of indigenous Falanghina and Biancolella, cultivated on steep terraced vineyards overlooking the Mediterranean, results in a wine of exceptional freshness, elegance and sense of place. It captures the essence of one of Italy’s most spectacular wine-growing regions, where altitude, maritime influence and limestone-rocky soils combine to produce whites of remarkable purity and longevity.
