Eremo San Quirico Gold 2014 - Nativ

Updated: Sep 26, 2020

This is a red wine made from the Aglianico grape. The producer is Nativ, this label won the best Italian red from Luca Maroni in 2018. The producer is in Irpinia in the Campania region. ( see the blog of the visit to their winery which we visited in June 2018). The color is dark ruby with some bottle aging but still very deep color. The viscosity is medium high (14.5% abv). The nose is quite strong with notes of black berry, black currant and dark chocolate, the nose shows great intensity and complexity . The palate is just a great experience with a big body, a smooth tannins , a well balanced acidity and a very long persistence. In summary another great experience with a very big wine, almost a chewing wine. The pairing is absolutely a must with grilled meat ( the way we tasted, ribs, sausage and steak.). PM 97
