Iovine - Micciano Rosso 2017

This is a red wine from the Sorrento coast DOC. The producer is Iovine that is located in Gragnano near Naples. The wine is a blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso from the producer Gran Cru vineyard names Micciano. It is aged in barrique for 12 months. It is a dark ruby with purple highlights, a medium high viscosity (14% abv). It presents an elegant nose with notes of black fruits, black currants, blackberry and secondary notes of tobacco and a spices ( black pepper). The palate is very Harmonious with velvety tannins and a full body. A very long persistence. In summary an excellent wine which pairs perfectly with any meat dish , we tried it with Pizza as we tasted. PM:91
