This is an Aglianico wine from the Irpinia region in Campania. it’s produced by Tenute de Napoli. It’s a 2019. the color is ruby with purple highlights it shows ita young nature in the glass with a viscosity medium high ( 14% abv). the nose is truly impressive with notes of red fruits ( cherry and raspberries and notes of wild strawberries ) there are also very light notes of tobacco but we can just imagine how it will develop as the wine age. . The palate confirms the nose with a very smooth tannins medium body a perfectly balanced acidity and a medium finish … in summary a very enjoyable wine surprisingly warm and smooth despite the young age for an Aglianico with a perfectly balance tannins and acidity. it can age for a while. To pair with any meat dishes also with delicate ones .. we tried with chicken in honey sauce and it was perfect. PM 90.
