Marisa Cuomo , Furore Riserva 2014

The Marisa Cuomo 2014 Furore Riserva presents a captivating sensory experience. We visited this winery back in 2018 so another visit is due soon. The wine is a red wine from the Amalfi Coast region in its Furore sub appellation. It’s a blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso from the heroic vineyards of Furore. 2014 was an outstanding vintage. The wine’s bouquet is rich with intense aromas of sun-ripened blackberries, dark cherries, and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine offers a remarkable depth of flavor, showcasing layers of black fruit, plum, and a subtle earthiness. Velvety tannins complement the full-bodied structure, while well-integrated acidity imparts a lively freshness. The finish is long and lingering, with echoes of dark chocolate and a hint of smokiness. This Furore Riserva beautifully encapsulates the essence of its terroir and aging process, making it a standout choice for those seeking a complex and rewarding red wine. PM 92.
