Masseria Frattasi - Beneventano IGT 2017

This is a white wine from Maseria Frattasi in Montesarchio near Benevento. We visited this winery in September 2018. The wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc and its classified as White wine because Sauvignon Blanc is not one of the wine in the disciplinare for any of the DOC wines. The wine is very light yellow straw , very pale. With green highlights despite the vintage being 2017. The viscosity is medium high (13% abv). The nose shows a typical Sauvignon Blanc notes of white flowers, lemon zest and grapefruit. The palate is harmonious with a medium high acidity a medium body and medium long persistence. In summary a good representation of Sauvignon Blanc, refreshing and perfect as aperitif and any white light fish dish ( we tried with cod fish Sicilian way with red tomatoes and olives ). PM 89
