Matilde Zasso, Falanghina 2018

This is a Falanghina from Campi Flegrei DOCG 2018. Falanghina is the most drank wine in Naples. The one from Campi Flegrei comes from volcanic soil. This winery Matilde Sasso located in Pozzuoli we visited in March 2020. The color is light yellow straw with green highlights. The viscosity is medium low (12.5%abv). The nose is just surprisingly great; with white flowers ( Jasmine) , very aromatic, white stone fruits, lime. Extremely inviting and very aromatic more than the usual Falanghina of Campi Flegrei. The nose confirms the nose with a perfect balance acidity and a medium body. A medium long persistence. In summary a great Falanghina. Perfect wit fish sauce pasta and any fish dish.
