Montemajor Terre del Serpente : Negroamaro 2020

This is a red wine from the producer Montemajor, this is a producer associated to Nativ that we visited numerous times and it is quickly becoming an iconic producer in Irpinia. The wine is made from the negroamaro grape that is indigenous grape of Apulia. The wine is a dark ruby and a medium high viscosity (14.5% abv ). The nose is inviting with notes of black fruits ( blackberries and cherries ) and spices ( black pepper ) and cedar notes. The palate is very warm and embracing with a full body perfectly balanced acidity and velvety tannins. In summary a very good wine with an excellent value that truly took us by surprise; it’s extremely enjoyable on the palate. It can be paired with any grilled meat and with any pasta in red sauce .. but truly it was enjoyable as conversation and maeditaion wine. Pm 90.
