Ravello 2017: Marisa Cuomo

This is a white wine from the Campania region and from the Amalfi Coast appellation. The producer is Marisa Cuomo an iconic winery in the region which we visited in the summer 2018 ( see blog). The wine is a blend of Falanghina and Biancolella ( the first the ubiquitous grape from Campania ). It is light yellow straw with gold highlights. With a medium high viscosity (13.5% abv). The nose is harmonious with floral notes of white flowers, white stone fruits, on the palate is a warm sunctuos white wine with a perfectly balanced acidity and a full body and a long persistence. An excellent white wine from the gorgeous Amalfi Coast and a perfect pairing with any fish dishes from the region .. we tasted with pasta with mussels and fried baccalà ( cod fish )at Neapolitan way.
