VESUVIO Lacryma Christi Rosso Riserva 2017

This is a red wine blend with Piedirosso and Aglianico. it’s a wine produced on the foothills of Mount Vesuvius. The producer is Cantina Del Vesuvio that we visited in July 2020. The wine is ruby and translucent with a medium viscosity 13.5% abv. The nose improved after decanting .. with notes of red cherries , red currants and tertiary notes of licorice. The palate initially unimpressive gained some point after few hours from the first taste; with a medium body a marked acidity, low tannin and a low persistence. In summary an ok wine a little disappointing for being a reserva. It can be paired with any meat dish we did it with meatballs and spinach. PM 86.
