Zibaldone Conti Leopardi 2015

This is a red wine special edition produced by conte Leopardi winery in the Marche region near Recanati. We visited this winery in the late spring of 2018. The wine is a blend of Montepulciano and Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s a special edition named Zibaldone from the famous book written by Giacomo Leopardi. The color is dark ruby with medium viscosity (13% abv). The nose is intriguing with notes of black fruits, cedar wood and spices ( black pepper ). The palate is very soft and enjoyable with a medium body, balanced acidity and velvety tannins. In summary a good value wine to be paired with any red meat sauce and grilled meat but also with pizza as we did. Pm 89
