Renato Ratti Barolo Marcenasco 2011
The wine is clear and filtered. It is dark garnet with some sign of orange hue that shows some aging. The viscosity is medium high and slow to fall tears (14.5%). On the nose a perfwct representation of Barolo with dark cherry, roses and violets and definitely the characteristic tar. Heartiness. Dark spices. The palate confirm the nose with medium high acidity, high tannins , use of new barrique which shows a modern approach. Great and very long finish. Excellent Barolo. Young but a nectar of the Gods.MarcenAsco is the old Roman name of dell'Annunziata one of the best site for Barolo.
