PETRORO 4 2015 - Todi Rosso

This is a red wine from TODI ,UMBRIA. Todi is a medieval Hamlet in Perugia Province. There is a TODI BIANCO AND ROSSO DOC. this one is a TODI ROSSO.

The wine wine is based on Sangiovese and it is clear and filtered. It is a color bright , the color is garnet with medium high viscosity (14.5%) alcohol. On the nose ; red berries , strawberrys and raspberries with notes of wild cherries and light secondary floral notes of roses. The palate confirms the nose with a good balance of acidity and  smooth tannins. The alcohol is medium high but well balalanced with the other components.  The wine has a medium short finish and low taste of oak ( used barrels).Overal  It is a good representation of a Sangiovese wine which would compete with a Chianti Classico. Perfect pairing with salumis pasta with meat souce and cheeses of medium aging.

Overall a good every day drinking wine.
