Nardone Taurasi 2011

This is a Taurasi DOCG from the Nardone wineries from Irpinia  in Campania.

I visited the winery on June 2018. It is made from Aglianico grape.

The color is deep ruby with purple highlights, the viscosity is high 15%abv. The bottle aging is also observable from the difference between the core and the rim.

The nose is penetrating with notes of black fruits , dark chocolate and tea levels. Very enjoyable. The palate confirms the nose with a full body wine, smooth tannins and a perfectly balanced acidity. A very good representation of Taurasi, wine to be paired with pasta in an heavy red and or meat sauce or grilled meat and seasoned cheeses. PM:90
