Ettore Sammarco . Costa D’Amalfi Ravello Terre Saracene 2016

This is a wine from the Amalfi Coast from Ettore SAMMARCO, we visited the winery on August 2018. See the blog dedicated to the visit.!”it is made from Piedirosso an ubiquitous and indigenous grape from Campania. The wine is light ruby it is filtered and clear. It has a medium viscosity (13.5% abv). The nose is inviting with notes of red cherry, raspberry and banana ( almost reminded me of a Beaujolais Cru ). The palate confirms the nose with a marked acidity although well balanced and smooth tannins and a good persistence. In summary a average wine for every day; enjoyable with pizza o light meat dish.
