Amarone - Santi 2007

This is an Amarone of Valpollicella. The wine is garnet in color with the rim not true to the core due to the age. The viscosity is high (15%abv). This is typical for this type of wine. The nose is just nirvana with a kaleidoscope of aromas and a strong bouquet of black cherry , blackberry and tobacco. The palate confirms the nose with a perfect balance of acidity and tannins ... a never ending finish that leaves you with the desire for more. This is a nectar of the Gods, just unbelievable wine to be drank as meditation wine in front of a roaring fireplace or with game dishes and appetizers made with prosciutto and salames and hard cheeses .
